Our business

Solomon Bampton Business & Franchising Lawyers is conveniently located in Halifax Street within the city square of Adelaide.

We are deliberately small and specialise in business and franchising law. We provide our clients with a personalised and cost effective service.

In addition to franchising, our core practice area, we provide a broad range of legal services to business. We also provide personal legal services in conveyancing, wills and estates.

Our lawyers

RICHARD SOLOMON, LLB

Richard is acknowledged as one of the most experienced franchise lawyers in South Australia. He is a member of the legal committee for the Franchising Council of Australia (FCA). Over a period of twenty years he has delivered papers to many industry bodies on franchising, including the FCA, Institute of Chartered Accountants ( SA Division), the Law Society of South Australia and the Real Estate Institute of South Australia.

He is an attendee at most FCA national conventions and in 2009 attended the International Franchise Association convention in San Diego. His franchisor clients include many successful local and national franchise systems.

ANDREW BAMPTON, LLB

Andrew joined Richard in 2007 and since then has specialised in franchising after previously working in the commercial section of a major national firm. Andrew has over 20 years experience in franchising and commercial law, held a directorship in a franchisor company, and acts for both local and national franchisors as well as franchisees.

In his 25 years of practice he has acted for a broad range of clients including financial institutions, local government, commonwealth departments, food processors, manufacturing, engineering and transport companies and many small to medium sized businesses.

Andrew serves on the State Chapter of the FCA and is an attendee at most FCA national conventions. In 2010 Andrew attended the International Franchise Association convention in Las Vegas. As a member of the South Australian Law Society Commercial Law Committee he deals with issues relating to franchising.

AMANDA PARKINSON, LLB

Amanda joined Richard and Andrew in 2011 as a senior lawyer. In over 20 years of practice Amanda has predominantly practiced in South Australia, she has also worked as an in house solicitor for a major public company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Amanda has a broad range of commercial, business and property law experience together with a special interest in Liquor Licensing. She has spent the last seven years developing a specialized practice in the area of Liquor Licensing, Property Transactions, Leasing, Business transactions, Land Divisions and Finance.

Amanda's extensive range of commercial experience enables her to offer a full scope of legal services required for most business enterprises. During her career Amanda has acted for large corporate institutions, small to medium enterprises and those just starting out in business. Amanda's specialized skills bring diversity to Solomon Bampton.
